Olympian Yussuf Alli, the chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, is ecstatic this morning. Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki is getting ready to accept the aforementioned award from Sportsville on March 1st, 2024 in Lagos.
According to Alli, whose National Record has been intact until this point, “this is one factual and real award.” There is no denying the State’s world-class facilities to those in the sports business.
Having hosted nearly all of the major events in the last few years, Edo State has established itself as a benchmark for facilities across the country.
The multiple award-winning long jumper claims that Governor Obaseki’s goal of utilizing sports as a vehicle for youth empowerment in the State is something that Nigerians and the people of Edo State should be extremely proud of.
