Megastar Magazine Honours Hon Amadin Enabulele with Outstanding Sports Leadership Award

Megastar Magazine has honoured the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, with its Outstanding Sports Leadership Award, one of the flagship recognitions under its renowned “Man of the Year” and “Megastar Man of the Decade” honours.

The award was formally presented on Wednesday by the Publisher of Megastar Magazine, Dr. Adeniyi Ifetayo, an international celebrity journalist, who described Enabulele’s strides in the sports sector as exceptional and deserving of national acclaim.

Dr. Ifetayo said the honour reflects the Chairman’s inspiring performance since assuming office. “We recognise what you are doing and found it worthy of celebration. Your work is inspiring many people, even beyond what you may realise,” he stated.

He explained that although the award presentation was originally billed for Abuja on October 11, 2025, it was shifted due to Enabulele’s tight schedule. The team later opted to present the award in Benin City. “Good things have no hiding place. Your impact is visible, and that is why your name emerged for this recognition,” he added.

He further noted that the award seeks to spotlight individuals driving meaningful transformation in institutions across Nigeria, whether in public service or the private sector. He also disclosed that the ceremony was broadcast live on Channels Television and Arise TV.

Responding through his Media Officer, Mr. Edoko Wilson Edoko, Enabulele expressed appreciation to Megastar Magazine, describing the recognition as fuel for continued service. “I am deeply honoured. In two weeks, I will be one year in office, and by God’s grace, we have already recorded remarkable milestones. The achievements of our first six months were only the seed—we are now building a new narrative for the Commission,” he said.

He pointed to Edo State’s strong investment in grassroots sports development, crediting the momentum to Governor Monday Okpebholo’s sports agenda. “What makes Edo unique is our belief in grooming young athletes. While others depend on poaching talent, we focus on identifying and nurturing home-grown athletes. If we present 2,000 athletes at a competition, over 1,900 are from Edo,” he noted.

Enabulele reaffirmed the state’s preparedness to host the 2026 Niger Delta Sports Festival in February, saying the Governor has mandated Edo not only to host but to win. “This is the legacy we are building,” he said.

The presentation was witnessed by the Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel, Mr. Patrick Ochoga, and the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Mr. Friday Aghedo.
