The inaugural Oredo Schools 5-Aside Football Championship has been declared by the Oredo Local Government Council, with the goal of fostering talent development and school sporting competition among the young.
Students from different schools in the Oredo Local Government Area will compete in the “OredoGames2024” competition to win individual and group prizes as well as the title of ultimate 5-Aside Football champion.
Prior to the tournament starting, Chairman of the Oredo Local Government Council Tom Obaseki briefed reporters on the events and games. He stated that the competition will begin on May 2, 2024, and conclude on July 13, 2024.
All of the games will be held at Uwa Primary School, Owegie Primary School, New Era College, and Anglican Girls Grammar School, he claims.
